Sabrina Small & Oi Leng Cheong are designers and vintage/second-hand sourcing specialists united by a love of beautiful, individual spaces. We follow a 70/30 principle—70% second-hand, vintage or upcycled, 30% new—making design affordable, sustainable and personal. We also use Feng Shui principles to edit and organise homes, creating spaces that feel calmer, more considered & easier to live in.

Full-home redesign
A complete transformation of your home, from layout and colour to furniture, lighting, storage and styling. We work with what you already own, combining vintage and second-hand finds with carefully chosen new pieces to create a cohesive space that feels personal, practical and considered. From initial concept through sourcing and final styling, we guide the entire design process.
Room specific redesign
A focused redesign for one room or a specific problem area. We look at how the space works, what is missing and what can be transformed, then develop a cohesive scheme for colour, furniture, lighting, storage and styling. The same thoughtful approach as a full-home redesign, tailored to a smaller scope and budget.
Cleaning & organizing
Often the best way to transform a home is by taking things away. Our service is for homes that have become cluttered, difficult to manage or no longer support the way you live. We work through wardrobes, cupboards & other problem spaces, helping you edit what you own. We combine practical organization with Feng Shui principles, considering not only where things belong, but how the space feels & functions. The goal isn't perfect minimalism. It's a home with better systems & room to breathe.
Second-hand sourcing
Hunting Berlin flea markets, auctions, vintage shops & resale platforms for furniture, lighting, art & objects with character. We find pieces that bring individuality & history to a home, often for less than buying new. From one perfect chair to furnishing an entire room, we do the searching, editing & sourcing for you—creating spaces that feel collected, not catalogued, and full of pieces you won’t see everywhere else.
Upcycling & restoration
Reupholstery, refinishing and small repairs that give good pieces a second life.
Young Designer Studio
Young Designer Studio is an immersive design experience for ages 8–15, where children take the lead in transforming their own room. From dreaming & mood boards to budgeting, sourcing, painting & upcycling, they learn to turn ideas into reality while developing creative, practical & lifelong skills. Each project is tailored to their age, interests & independence, building confidence, design thinking & the satisfaction of making something truly their own.

What is the 70/30 philosophy?
The 70/30 philosophy means creating a home with roughly 70% second-hand, vintage or upcycled pieces and 30% new. It’s a blended approach: combining the old with the new, the found with the made, and the practical with the personal. We don’t believe a home should be built around one shopping list or a single style. The most interesting spaces come from a thoughtful mix of pieces with different stories, textures and purposes. The result doesn’t look “vintage”—in fact, most people can’t tell what’s second-hand. It simply feels individual, considered and lived-in.
Can I afford to renovate my apartment? Isn't interior design just for the wealthy?
There are all levels of interior design, and our approach is designed to be more affordable, blended & service-oriented. We don’t believe good design needs to mean buying everything new or committing to a full renovation. Our 70/30 philosophy, second-hand sourcing & flexible approach allow us to work with different budgets and make meaningful changes without starting from scratch.
It’s also completely normal to focus on one room at a time rather than tackling the whole home at once. Good design can happen in stages.
Should I renovate if I'm not sure how long I'll be here, or if I just had a baby?
Of course, there are situations where waiting to redesign your home makes sense. But your home should support the life you’re living now—not some imagined future version of it.
In Berlin, many of us end up making the most of the space we already have. Whether you’re raising a family in a small apartment or simply too busy to figure out how to make your home work better, thoughtful changes can have a huge impact. You don’t necessarily need a major renovation. Sometimes it’s about rethinking the layout, editing what you own, adding better storage, changing the lighting or giving a room a new purpose.
Your home doesn’t have to be forever to be worth investing in. It just needs to work for you now.
Can I redesign my apartment if I'm a renter?
Absolutely. A rental home can be every bit as considered, personal and beautifully designed as a property you own. The key is understanding what can be transformed—and how to create impact within the boundaries of your rental agreement.
Does redesigning my home mean painting over my own quirkiness?
No. The best interiors don’t look like they belong to a designer—they look like they belong to the people who live there.
Our job is to understand how you live, what you love and what matters to you, then help create a space that feels considered, functional and personal.
Do I have a say in what second-hand pieces you choose? Is it durable or reliable?
All second-hand pieces go through a rigorous process of quality check, repair and cleaning. Wood, metal, ceramics and leather are the primary materials we reclaim, and we never place a piece in a space if it's not been thoroughly prepared to last. Sourcing is only the beginning. We reupholster, sand, refinish, stain, seal and more.
